Virtual Exhibition

September 3 to October 1, 2020

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the "Together" virtual exhibition.

Submission deadline closed: Sunday, August 9, 2020

This is a juried exhibition, and it will be curated by Nadia Martinez.

Theme: During these past months, we have experienced the power of coming together and staying together while staying apart.

Artists are encouraged to enter work that expresses unity, connection, integration, and togetherness.

The exhibition will include a virtual exhibition, an online catalog, and a workshop.

Guidelines

All artists may enter 2D works in all types of media, or photograph of 3D works.

All artwork must be original and done only by the artist.

Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration.

Works of art must be submitted in JPG format and must comply with the exhibit theme.

The work selected for exhibiting will be based on the theme and image quality. Please do not include background or frames.

Accepted artworks

Artists will be notified by August 13, 2020, whether their artwork has been accepted.

Workshop: Selected participants will be invited to participate in an online workshop to learn how to create online promotional materials for social media platforms and emails.

The Exhibition and workshop are made possible with the support of the Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts.

    • Notification of Acceptance: August 16, 2020

    • Workshop: Friday, August 21st, 2020 at 11 am

By submitting works to the "Together" Virtual Exhibition artists agree to allow the accepted artworks to be used for online publicity and archival purposes. Artists will retain the copyright of their work.
